The Symbiot, a Love Story?
After the initial events in The Symbiot, the world believes Marie Gibbons is dead. A faithful husband on the brink of insanity, main character Lorne S. Gibbons' motive is the pursuit of his dead and missing wife.
Due to the fallout of the initial cataystic event, he never gets the opportunity until the second book. (The Hunt: Symbiosys).
In a veiled sort of way, its underlying theme could be a love story.
The second book of The Symbiot-Series - The Hunt: Symbiosys - follows his wife's story and reunification - again with a love theme.
Although not a focal point, certain events do occur on Valentine's Day in both the second and 3rd books (Necropolis).
We also get to witness the Otto Zann and Donita de LaFontaie love affair blossom to its tragic finale in Necropolis.
Ok, who am I kidding? They aren't love stories. They are Weird Fiction/Lovecraftian-horrors. (Although no part of what I described in incorrect!)
