Support My Fave Local Author This Weekend!! Sometimes all it takes is a sneaky, local author dropping off his first book for you to read and me who loves to read and who also loves to support local, gets hooked before you know it 😉 That is exactly what happened with my friend Michel Weatherall a few years ago when he dropped off this first book in his series. The book was The Symbiot and it totally drew me into the world that Michel had created. In fact, I read through it so fast, I didn’t even realize I was at the end til I was and I was like, “wait, I want more.” Luckily for me, there was more and there will be more as a mind like Michel Weatherall’s can not be rested or silenced. I’m not the biggest Stephen King fan but I do respect his writing and his brilliance and I have leaned toward saying that Michel Weatherall is just that brilliant with his writing and the places that he can take you along the way. His imagination shines through in his writing and I’m surprised he isn’t bigger than he is. You can find out for yourself this weekend if you’re out and about and looking for some new reading as local horror author, dark poet, 2020 Faces of Ottawa Awards Favorite Author, Michel Weatherall will be at Coles Billings Bridge this Saturday from 11am-4pm. Need reading material for March Break? Michel will have his latest novel, Ngaro’s Sojourney – following the 1850 nautical adventure of a Maori chieftain across the Pacific ocean! He will also be carrying the Lovecraftian-horror series in its entirety, featuring the 2020 Faces of Ottawa nominee for Book of the Year,The Symbiot 30th Anniversary, The Nadia Edition Necropolis, The Refuse Chronicles and his two books of poetry: A Dark Corner of My Soul, and his latest release, Sun & Moon. And while you’re there, you can also ask him about his upcoming new book he’s working on which apparently features an appearance by yours truly……what could possibly happen to me in his created world….should I be scared…..let me know if you find out 😉 So go support local, buy his book and let’s get Michel a national best seller and maybe be put on the New York Times Best Seller list…..and I’m not just saying this so he won’t send me somewhere far far away in his new book 😉
