The Stars of Thin Places - Laurie Stewart


Broken Keys Publishing is proud to announce Ottawa's very own Laurie Stewart will be contributing to the Thin Places anthology!


Her contribution a story titled, Mirror Glass


Laurie Stewart is a disabled, bisexual writer born in 1961. She is mobility impaired and in chronic pain from a failed spinal surgery in 1980.

She has been writing since 2015 when her disability progressed to the point where she could no longer work in her career in independent film. Prior to that she spent seven years working at CRA in international tax and publishes an annual guide to taxes for Canadian Writers. Laurie is currently at work on the third book in her LGBT mystery series Miss Vee, and is in prep-mode for writing a Science Fiction murder mystery series called Diplomatic Relations starring a former military space pilot who lost her legs in a skirmish with rebels out in the asteroid belt. It is for the first book in series that she applying for an Older Writers Grant as there will be a lot of research, including a trip to the Mars Analog Research Station in Utah and NASA.

Laurie publishes in both the SFF genre and the Contemporary mystery genre (under the pen name Delilah Knight).

She lives on a hobby farm near Ottawa, Ontario
